Our Story
It’s a journey of an Professional Architect Engineer to follow her passion of Art. Our Founder Madhumita choose her passion and made Bansuri Boutique. She loves to paint saree or dress material and create beautiful hand embroidery designs in her leisure time. People loved her designs and hand work so much and wanted to buy them. Thus a leisure time passion became a profession.
Her daughter Kathakali joined her to change her passion into the brand ‘Bansuri’ in 2017. Kathakali has had a deep interest in Indian handicrafts, art and culture since childhood, which helps to switch her profession from a Computer science engineer to a Fashion Entrepreneur. They start giving training to many unemployed women and housewives to create their handicraft teams.
Bansuri crafted many designer artistic handmade saree and promotes handicraft techniques like Kantha Stitch, Hand Painting, Hand Block Printing, Wax Batik Printing, Hand Embroidery, Tie and Die, Handweaving, Patch Work etc.
The Philosophy
Our goal is to make fashion through handicrafts which are unique, soft, eco-friendly, employment generative, creative and represent Indian culture and heritage.
